      Emma is extremely excited to announce a project that has long been in the works. Co-founded by Emma Logan and Julie Barwick, Helia Music Collective is an organization dedicated to promoting women in music. Helia is teaming up with Siroko Duo for their first concert in March.     Flutist Jessie Nucho will be performing two solo pieces with electronics by Kaija Saariaho and Eve Beglarian, followed by a discussion with composer Emma Logan, mixed media artist Victoria Welling, and writer Lindsay Merbaum on women in the art world.

Saturday, March 11 & 12, 2017, 3pm - Emblems Quintet

    As part of Emblems Quintet's inaugural concerts in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area, they are presenting a recital at Adrian College and University of Michigan. Works will include pieces by Brandon Scott Rumsey, Jabez Co, Finnur Karlsson, Ruth Crawford Seeger, and Emma's Darker Than Blue for wind quintet and piano.

Saturday, March 25, 2017, 7:30pm - Helia Music Collective & Siroko Duo

    Helia Music Collective, a new organization co-founded by Emma Logan and Julie Barwick to support the creative endeavors of women in music, is teaming up with Siroko Duo to present contemporary works for two flutes composed entirely by women. World premiere of works by Emma Logan and Chelsea Loew, as well as works by Julie Barwick, Shulamit Ran, Izabel Austin, and Jane Rigler.

Saturday, May 20, 2017, 7:30pm - One Great City Guitar Duo & GCG

    For Emma's second collaboration with the Guerrilla Composers Guild, the unique One Great City Guitar Duo will premiere Emma's latest song cycle featuring the poetry of Sara Teasdale. The concert will also feature the world-premiere of works by Nick Benavides and Michael Kropf, as well as arrangements of jazz standards.
